If there is any sector of Ondo State economy that is fast growing, it’s surely the entertainment sector. For the part two to three years, we have experienced so many new events springing up in the name of music concerts, well publicized club parties, social events, comedy shows etc and also the buzz have really encouraged event organizers outside the state to include Akure, the state capital as part of the locations for their events tours, like we had “laffmatazz’ in June 2018. The annual Ondo State Music Awards as also been a platform to consider when we trying to know the elements that contributed in putting the state on the global map in entertainment. New night clubs like Club Vegas at Alagbaka and Luna Night club at Ajipowo joined the likes of 02 Base in Akure mall, Shaunz Royale at Sheebi junction, Fingerlicking Sport Bar at Gbogi Street, Chillies Night Club at Ijapo Estate and so many locations for night life activations.
All these won’t have been happening without some powerful influencers that has decided in making it an everyday business to make sure Ondo State remains a major hub for entertainment in Nigeria. Our long list is so masculine as 70% are men. So we decided to look vividly into the lives of the few women who have dedicated their time and resources to make the sun shine on our entertainment sector. In no particular order, here are the top 5 most influential women in Ondo State Entertainment.

Ewatomilola Emiola-Owoeye
Born in Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, Ewatomilola is an Ondo state based event planner, Journalist, presenter and writer. A graduate of English Language from Ekiti State Univeristy, Ekiti State. She is the CEO of Beauty and Brain Pro Event and Ushers (B and B ProEvent &Ushers) An event planning, event management and event coordination company with beautiful hostess and experienced Security Bouncers to make your event a success. Tutored on how to plan, manage and coordinate event under a well know event planner’ Highflyers Events in Ibadan, B&B has successfully planned and coordinated over 30 events in less than two years of her operation, this includes Wedding, Burial, Musical and Comedy shows etc.
Her career objective is to incorporate my acquired professional, pedagogical and personal skills; working with existing staff and facilities in a reputable organization with the aim of adding value to maintain excellence and increase organization’s growth, products and stability. Some of her work experiences include: Trace News magazine: staff writer and Government house correspondent (2012 till date), Coordinator Ondo and Ekiti State YouWin Registration Centers.
Responsibilities: Coordination of Registrar for Registration and submission of applications for applicants (January 2015), Office of The Governor, Ekiti State Government. Media assistant to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor and Trace News magazine correspondent. (2013 – 2014), Office of The Hon. Commissioner for information, Ondo State Government. (2010 -2013), Media assistant to the Commissioner. (2010 – 2011), Vice president Federation of Ikole local Government student union Ikole Ekiti. (2004 – 2006) and many more. Some of her Awards include: Award of merit in recognition of my contribution to the entertainment industry in Ondo state (Association of students of Art and Social Sciences Adeyemi college of Education Ondo) 2017, Award of merit in recognition of my contribution to the Journalism Profession in Nigeria (National Association of Social Sciences and Communication Studies Students Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo) 2017, Award of Honour in recognition of my contribution to the entertainment industry in Nigeria(Event vendors association Nigeria Oyo state) 2017 and many more. She is happily married.


Francisca Onyinye Ogunlade
She is the founder Eftinzz Outfit, the convener of Beauty and Bride Exhibition, Author of Beautiful Scars, Creator of Events budget App and Founder, PlanBHub online academy.
She has 13 years banking experience, 9 years in branch management position. Regional brand champion for the bank. She has over the years been a force to be reckoned with when it comes to entertainment. We sometimes wonder how she combines all other things she does with her zeal for entertainment. She has Bsc (ed) chemistry, MBA , Student member , CIBN , Business and Innovation Growth Alumni , Various Certificate courses in business, marketing and customer experience. She loves dancing and she can be very playful. She is a happily married with kids. She is a car crash survivor.

Michael Olayinka Amodu
She is the CEO of Psquare outfit, a leading event management and venue decoration company in Ondo State and Nigeria. Olayinka hails from Oke-agbe Akoko area of Ondo State. She is a trained geologist from the prestigious Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
Psquare Outfit started in 2007 as an outfit known for class when it comes to Wedding gowns and trending Fashion. It later became an event Management company in 2014 and over the years has successfully handled event decorations for notable individuals, corporate organizations and top government functionaries across all the Geo political zones of the country.
In 2015, she officially launched the P and G Event Planning and Management Training Institute. The institute has produced men and women who have created a niche for themselves in the event industry. Olayinka is the adept convener of The Psquare Event Summit, an event masterclass with the aim of inspiring beginners in the event industry.
Her devotion to event management has earned her notable awards some of which are; Ondo State Radiovision cooperation award of excellence, Heroine celebrity award by Visage and many more. She was recently nominated as the best Decorator Southwest in the Event Industry Award 2018. She is also a member of APPOEMN (Association of Professional Party Organizers and Events Managers of Nigeria)
She’s married to Mr Adekunle Olusegun Michael and they are blessed with two lovely children, Princess and Precious.


Grace Ene Anteyi
She is the CEO of Ageless Modeling Agency. She is an idoma woman. Born and bred in the mainland of Lagos. She is a graduate of Computer Science and a certified Information Technologist. She also studied at National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), where she had certifications in Web Designing, Flash Share and Creative Publishing.
Modeling has been natural with Grace Ene. At 16, she modelled for notable organizations and became a member of Virtual Models, Lagos. This group (Virtual Models) has modelled for organisations like MTN and the likes.
She did some skeletal modeling/ushering jobs in 2014, but it was not until 2015 that she officially registered and launched “Ageless Modeling Agency.”
Ageless Modeling Agency is a full-fledged Event/Protocol Agency. Blessed with a team of beautiful ushers ensuring the proper organization of events such as weddings, burial, birthdays e.t.c. Ageless also provide models for photoshoots to help promote different brands.
Ageless has over a hundred ushers/models across the country and has worked for reputable organisations in the Ecclesial sphere like; Catholic Diocese of Ondo *National Conference of Catholic Bishops*, Women on the Winning Edge by Rev Mrs Funke Felix Adejumo and Secular Organisations like; Nigeria Flour Mills PLC, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and a host of many others.
Grace Ene is also the Project Director of Face of Idoma International. Pageant organized to showcase the talents and potential of young ladies; to discourage them from anti-social behaviors and encourage them to embrace the cultural values of their land. The star prize for Face of Idoma International Pageant is a brand new Kia Sonata and other valuable prizes.
Her commitment and contribution to the Event/Entertainment Industry earned her and the Ageless brand notable awards such as; Ondo State Music Award, African Youth Award, Women on Fire Award, Idoma Legend Award.


Folajogun Akinlami
Folajogun Akinlami was born in the year 1983 in Ondo Town. She attended Saint Helens Primary School Ondo Town and from there moved to Akure in Ondo State where she completed her primary education at Alagbaka Nursery and Primary School. In 1993 she gained admission into the prestigious Saint Louis Girls Grammar School Akure, Ondo State. And in 2001 she gained admission into Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, where she latter bagged a degree in English Language. In 2007 she went for her compulsory one-year service to her father land in Kogi State. She was at the Nigerian Television Authority for a few months before she moved to Grace 95.5FM Lokoja Nigeria.
She later gained employment with the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation as a freelance staff between 2008- 2012. And in February 2012 she gained permanent employment into the services of the State owned TV and Radio (OSRC).
Folajogun Akinlami has since produced and presented several TV and Radio shows such as XTACY TV (Presenter), Showbiz Arena TV (Presenter/ Producer), Doyen TV (Presenter/ Producer), The Ultimate Show (Radio), The Game Show (Radio), Greet With a Disc ( Radio) Inside Out with Fola (TV) Talkshow, Perspectives ( TV) Talkshow, Lunch Groove TV ( Presenter), Beyond Challenges (TV) Presenter/ Producer, Lunch Groove TV ( Producer), Techies Club TV ( Producer) etc.
In 2014, she dropped an album titled ” Ariwo Oja” and in 2015, she co- produced the movie Ariwo Oja in which the single Ariwo Oja was used as the sound track. In 2016, she co produced the movie “Mirage ” Iruju” with her sister Motilola Adekunle.
She is currently working on her novel titled ” Memoirs of Vicky Banks”
She has since bagged several awards, amongst are Rhealyz Naija ” Positive Use Of The Media Awards (2012), The Challenge initiative ” Personality of the Year Award (2013), City People ” Upcoming Artiste Of the Year Award ( 2014), House Of Talents ” Young Personality Of the Year Award ( 2015), OSRC ” Entertainment Presenter of the year award (2016) E.T.C.
She is the C.E.O of differently Abled Foundation (, a foundation that caters for the needs of persons living with disabilities in Ondo State and environs. Her program Beyond Challenges seeks to instill the champions mentality into PWDs. The program showcases PWDs who have made it in their chosen career paths. The program also advocates for inclusion, and helps everyone know the proper treatment of PWDs.
She is currently working on policies that would help declassify deafness as a major form of disability in Ondo State and Nigeria by extension through inclusion.
She is a Mandela Washington Fellow 2019, and will soon bag a leadership in Public Management certificate at the University of Wisconsin Madison USA courtesy of the United States Government.
